rear brake line ends

I am replacing the steel brake line from the prop valve to the rear end on my 84 camaro. The car has an aluminum prop valve. The thread pitch is different on each end. Could anyone tell me what size line I need and what the thread pitch is on each end? I tried a search but have been unsuccessful. Thanks.

Re: rear brake line ends

IIRC '84 swap the change over year from SAE to metric so it could be SAE or metric fittings.

The rear line fittings into wheel cylinder will be 3/8-24 OR M10x1

If it's rear disk, then fitting to the rear caliper will be M10x1.5

The rubber line in rear that connects steel line on car to steel lines across rear axle housing will have thread sizes of 2) M10x1 junction, M12x1 female

Front calipers takes a M10x1.5 fitting

Master cylinder fittings are Primary M11x1.5 , Secondary M12x1.0

I can not find the prop valve sizes, sorry

Re: rear brake line ends

I am pretty sure the prop valve has metric fittings. Thanks for the reply with all the fitting sizes. Very helpful and informative.

Re: rear brake line ends

just save and reuse the old fittings from your old lines in the same places.

This is probably what I will do. I will need to buy another flaring tool to make bubble flares. Thanks.
