Brake line size

Brake line size

Brakes went out on my 89 camaro. Just guna replace everything so I'm wondering what size the brake lines are. Thanks

Varies from car to car and system to system (drums vs disc for example) There's acoupla common sizes. Most are 6mm. Several different nut sizes as well.

Brake lines don't often "go out", except for rusting through, in which case there's usually obvious evidence of a leak. Replacing them tends to be ALOT of trouble with no payoff.

The line front to rear is 6mm. The rest are 4.75 mm.
if you are going to replace them it would be worth you time to order replacement prevent lines and all new flex lines as well.
