Options with 1LE hubs

Hey guys. I made a set of 1LE hubs in anticipation of a big brake upgrade because I wanted the extra width with my rims. I'm not seeing much. Anybody know what my options are with these hubs?

Thanks, Ryan

Looking to do a Big Brake Upgrade with the 1LE hubs. Example c5/c6 disc.

Re: Options with 1LE hubs

Any brake upgrade will work with the same parts, just need to space the caliper brackets 5/16 or so outboard to match the hub and rotor offsets.

I used a Baer 6s setup with a custom hub and the correct spacers for the abutment brackets.

wasn't sure if it is 1/4" or 5/16" thicker that the bracket needs to be. I'm trying to search for the difference in front end width between standard and 1LE equipped cars.

Re: Options with 1LE hubs

You can use the same brackets, then simply purchase shims (washers, but built for shimming) the correct width. McmasterCarr for example sell a variety.

No sense using heavier, thicker brackets

Re: Options with 1LE hubs

Do you think 0.300" in shims will be safe?

I used almost 5/8 in shim, worked just fine

Since the 1LE hubs push the wheels out about 0.300" per side, wouldn't you be closer to 5/16" of shims per side?

Re: Options with 1LE hubs

I was running custom hubs, 1le offset plus another .25 offset added to the hubs when then were built.
