Rear brake calipers

Anybody know where I can find remanufactured brake calipers for a 1986 iroc? Id prefer not to do any major work right now so im just looking to bolt on the new calipers and be done, but literally every website or store ive gone to doesnt have them. As a last resort id do my best to rebuild them but theyre in pretty bad shape as of now.

Re: Rear brake calipers

Yeah, no... If your existing rear calipers don't work, no biggie, they didn't work shortly after they left the factory anyway. The Iron calipers used before 1989 were basically a design flaw. I wouldn't recommend wasting the money to rebuild them or replace them with more of the same. The front brakes do 90% of the braking anyway. These are one of the very few problems I would recommend doing nothing about, before I'd recommend repairing to stock.

Lots of threads about the Delco-Moraine calipers and how to replace them with something else. None of the options are really quick or easy.

Re: Rear brake calipers

Rock Auto has re-man rear calipers for an '86... See the Aftermarket Vendor Review board for a 5% discount code.
