Possible Brake Noise.

The other day I started to hear this noise in my car when my car is in reverse or overdrive. The noise only comes when the brakes are applied. Could this be a brake pad noise? I thought it was a transmission issue at first and still might be. Brake fluid is full and my brake indicator light is not on. No noticeable loss of stopping power but I know it's easy to get use to worn brakes. However, the noise only comes when my brakes are applied. As soon as I take my foot off its gone.
