Can't push or pull brake pedal at all

Haven't really encountered this problem before. Just got a 87 that's been sitting for some time, we loaded it via forklift and when I got home to unload we found that just the front drivers wheel brake was holding so in order to quickly get it unloaded I disconnected it's line which released it immediately. All the other wheels were and still are free but the brake pedal doesn't budge in either direction. Any ideas on what's going on?

If the master cylinder is cast iron, it could be rusted on the inside. Try bleeding from the master cylinder outlets to see if it moves fluid.

Disconnect the link from the pedal.

Can you move the pedal? Yes/no.

Yes: it's the booster or the MC. No: it's the pedal pivot.

If you could move the pedal:

Hook the link back up. Unbolt the MC from the booster. Can you move the pedal? Yes/no.

Yes: it's the MC. No: it's the booster.

How does this get any eeeeeezyer???

Whichever part you just found is bad, throw it in the trash and get a new one.

Re: Can't push or pull brake pedal at all

Okay so I set this on the back burner for a while, car now has a running 454 swapped in successfully. And it looks like I saved the worst for last...

So it is just the brake pedal, which was more of a curse than a blessing. It's rusted very badly. I've got the four nuts that go over brake booster studs off but I cannot for the life of me get the final bolt on the upper part of the bracket off.
I can get a box end wrench over it but I'm left with very minimal space to try turning it. I cant really get a socket over it due to large wire loom which I can't seem to move, is it secured anywhere? I squeezed on a 1/4 drive socket with a u-joint adapter but the angle is really extreme and also makes it hard to turn.

Does anyone have any tips? I've already lowered the steering column.
