Line wrench size? BRAKE LINE FITTINGS
Can anyone provide the correct brake line wrench size for connection from rear end brake line to Car body hard line fitting standard line wrench? Metric?

Your '88 will be metric. You might be able to use normal wrenches but the materials used for brake fittings is softer than a normal bolt, so the wrench might end up slipping and rounding the hex head. There are special wrenches meant for this task that wrap further around the hex and makes contact with more sides.

They're probably metric. Used Snap-on line wrenches can be had on ebay for quasi-reasonable prices. So far I've had 100% success with them and a heavy application of Free-All.

I bought a set but before they got here today I used a propane torch to heat up fittings and they came right apart. I'm Pretty sure no wrench vice grip or anything like that would have separated the lines. Just a heads up for anybody else having trouble you heat them with propane and they come right apart with almost no effort!
