Line wrench size? BRAKE LINE FITTINGS

Can anyone provide the correct brake line wrench size for connection from rear end brake line to Car body hard line fitting standard line wrench? Metric?

Your '88 will be metric. You might be able to use normal wrenches but the materials used for brake fittings is softer than a normal bolt, so the wrench might end up slipping and rounding the hex head. There are special wrenches meant for this task that wrap further around the hex and makes contact with more sides.

I've been trying to get fitting apart , no luck won't budge. I figured maybe a line wrench will give the grip I need.. I have a feeling that's not even going to work.

Small pipe wrench will get it done. Not sure what will be left of it at the end though.

They're probably metric. Used Snap-on line wrenches can be had on ebay for quasi-reasonable prices. So far I've had 100% success with them and a heavy application of Free-All.

I bought a set but before they got here today I used a propane torch to heat up fittings and they came right apart. I'm Pretty sure no wrench vice grip or anything like that would have separated the lines. Just a heads up for anybody else having trouble you heat them with propane and they come right apart with almost no effort!
