Stillen D154HD pads no stock!

After researching here I ordered a set of Stillen D154HD front pads but the order was cancelled soon after. There's no stock to fulfill the order. Can anyone recommend a decent substitute? 1987 Z28, factory discs. Just looking for something with a little more bite than what's in there now.

Sounds like a great excuse to ditch the almost 60 yr old crap and modernize a little bit.

If you're determined to try the Stillen pads, then checkout Wilwood. Wilwood's pads and Stillen's pads appear to be one-and-the-same.

Otherwise, 154 pads are still available from just about every pad manufacturer on the planet, so finding one that suites you shouldn't be difficult. The list at Rock Auto goes on and on...

I'll check the Wilwoods, thanks. I'm trying to avoid some of the white box stuff on Rock Auto as it probably isn't much better than the garbage that's on there now.

I agree, but it's not high on the priority list or in the budget at the moment.

Re: Stillen D154HD pads no stock!

I ordered those Stillen pads last year and it took awhile to get them but they were worth the wait as they were much better than the junk on there, I remember I was like 3rd in line etc. as they were making them. There seems to be demand but that is lousy they don't make them anymore. It is good to know that Wilwoods might be the same pad but they have many different varieties.

I am running into a similar issue with Goodridge braided brake hoses where no one has them in stock for the 3rd gen, except Classic Ind. at a $40 mark up, so I will likely have a 3 week or more lead time as it sounds like the kit will have to be manufactured.
