I am assuming these are the PBR rear disc brakes but I am not sure. My other question is, how does the E-brake cable get routed and attached to these brakes? Pics are always helpful.
After a little more research at the different rear disc brake setups on rockauto, I figured out I have the old style rear disc brakes from the early 3rd gens. I need a different cable to attach to these calipers it would seem. Anyone have info on these setups?
Most people dump them and get the later 89-up PBR aluminum caliper set-up. which swaps the rotor/backing plate/flex line and cable too too, but its worth it. The e- brake is notorious on the older set-ups. Not sure of the availability on the cables though.
Thank you, they do still have the older e brake cables available. I ordered them and need to install them and see how they work. I realize they are the crappy rear disc brakes but i just need to car to brake and move under its own power for now. Eventually down the line I will upgrade them or the entire rear axle but for now they should be fine.
No its not for the camaro listed in my profile, I picked up another camaro convertible that i'm piecing back together that has the stock setup with 700r4.

Re: Rear disc brakes and E brake cable
Oh OK.
I would have hated to see your Camaro roll down the street and smash into something if it popped out of gear. While the Delco-Moraine rear disc brakes sucked as rear disc brakes the sucked even more as parking brakes.
Yeah they don't seem very well made, but I was able to order new parking brake cables and install them. Have not tested them out yet, but hopefully they work to some degree.
