88 iroc, 305, t-tops, 5-speed, a must see!!

hey guys, up for sale is my baby. ive worked on it for 3 years and has many many new/ slightly used parts. everything listed is less than 3 years old

interior
-black carpet
-black headliner
-grant steering wheel
-kenwood headunit, tweeters and 2 subs in back with 1000w amp
(sounds sweet!)
-black racing inspired seats

only thing not black in the interior is the rear seats and seatbelts (gray)

exterior
- macco paint less than 2 years old (midnight blue. looks black but shines blue. always gets compliments.) its a seven out of ten tho.... (you get what you pay for i guess. eventho it cost me 1250.00...)
- stock hood with louvers
- t-tops. (do leak a little. when left out for long periods of time.)
- new tires (cost me 1000.00 but well worth it!)
- stock aluminum rims. (look great!!)
- neat iroc lisence plate covers.

drivetrain/suspension
-305 v8 tpi
-runs strong!
-aftermarket runners, new plugs and wires, dis. cap, new flowmaster exhaust from y-pipe back.
-ebaich springs ( 1 inch drop)
-aftermarket lca's
-aftermarket sway bar
-aftermarket lca relocation mounts
-rebuilt 5-speed. shifts super smooth
-i feel like im missing much more but i cant remember.

the car starts up first try everytime and is my daily driver. might need a new radiator but i cant really tell. no matter how much i flush it out the coolant always ends up turning a light brownish color. idk why. also the fan sensor went so i have a switch on the drivers side door to turn the fans on and off. no big deal. and the air conditioning has a hard time working, the a/c pully just gets jammed some times and starts to burn the belt. it does work great once the pulley gives way but im not trying to snap a belt while im driving so i just keep it off. besides that the car is great. i love this car but my financial situation is leaving me no choice. im located in central new jersey. im looking to get 6,000.00 for it. but make an offer. im not dying to sell but i need something more affordable gas wise. would be willing to trade for a jeep wrangler or a pick-up in decent shape preferably american, (chevy, ford, ect.) no gas guzzlers tho. im not saying this car is perfect because its not but its the best one ive ever seen in person by far. i get compliments all the time and people have even offered to buy it off me. im gunna hate to see it go but its time. can see all the pics ive taken on my facebook. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?id...66&aid=2020930

that link should work but if it doesnt let me know and ill post pics. thanks for looking!!!

haha, honestly i couldnt tell you. the guy i bought it from a few years ago barely spoke english and he knew absolutly nothing about the car. this isint one of those irocs where everything was like documented and theirs history on it. from the time i bought it to now is all i know about its history. i wish i could tell you more about it but i cant. what you see is what you get.

Nice looking car. However, the brown coolant is a sign of a leaking head gasket or a cracked head. That can be a pretty expensive repair. Don't mean to burst your bubble, but not many folks are going to pay $4500 for a third gen that may need some pricey engine work.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, well thats not cool. i really had no idea that was the problem. since i flushed it about a month ago it seemed to stay green. ugh i dont know whats wrong if anything now. but if i change it now people will think im lying, looks like ive got a little work to do before i sell it. thanks for the heads up tho! i really didnt know that was the case cause it still runs fine.

You can have a pressure test done on it. It's relatively inexpensive and will at least tell if you have a leak somewhere. I hope I'm wrong about it. Good luck.

TTT still for sale. flushed the rad. and replaced the rad. hoses, then refilled the rad. and got a comp. check. everything checked out ok and the coolant fluid has stayed green since. i can only assume one of the hoses was rotting out maybe? i really dont know but it seems to be fixed. text anytime 9084151177 or email to jwhopkins92@yahoo.com

Man, I wish I was closer to NJ. Love that interior.

A compression test isn't exactly what you need, though, as in some instances head gaskets can leak without affecting compression, or even performance. What you need to test for is the presence of exhaust gas in the anti-freeze. Any reputable mechanic should be able to do it for 15 bucks. DIY kit runs 30-40.

I'd love to buy it! but my budget is around 2500-3500 right now, so I'm looking for a project.

alright i just bought another car so this one really has to go, i have no room/money for insurance on 2 cars so im lowering the price even more. 3500 firm. thats honestly the lowest i can go and im only going that low because i got a deal on the car i just bought so i could afford to lower the price. first one with 3500 cash gets it. call or text 9084151177.
