91 camaro rs 500hp!!!!! Looooooooooookk :)

Hey guys, I kinda feel like a trader to this site by posting my camaro for sale. But I have no time to finish anymore as my job and personal life has been getting too hectic, I just want someone to buy it and finish it, and drive the hell out of it like it was meant to. It currently needs paint, and the engine to be installled. Has a 305 tbi auto right now, hard top, comes with an aftermarket ram air hood, true dual 2.5" exhaust from manifolds back, brand new front fender, new front chin spoiler, new tires last summer, and other then that, it's all bone stock. It's a very clean, straight car. Interior is immaculate. I have original key chain from when it was purchased new in Edmonton. Very original car, exterior is in dEcent shape, has a few spots needs to be touched up but no serious rust. To go with the car I have a completely rebuilt 355 with many many performance parts. Has 327 heads, heavy cam, 750 demon carb, all chrome and billet aluminum parts used. Block is a 1974 year, 4bm, and painted to match car. No expenses spared. Estimated 450-500hp. If anyone is interested I can email a build list. Cost over 7 grand for build, hasn't been ran since total build. I haven't spared any expense with the car yet, it comes with lots of other goodies, like chrome starter, chrome fuel pump, brand new distributed, 10ft of extra 3" exhaust pipe, and much much more. Hate to see it go but like I said I have no time to finish. I'm looking to get highest bid over 8,000.00. Car is located in fort mcmurray Alberta, Canada. I will try and upload pics when I get use of a laptop, or I can email interested guys pics over my phone.
I am willing to trade for something of interest that doesn't need much/any work to drive. Don't be affraid to email me for any questions or offers. Thanks.

I would LOVE to see a dyno video and a printout showing 450-500hp out of the 355.

Re: 91 camaro rs 500hp!!!!! Looooooooooookk :)

Thanks for you're input. But it was professionally built uP here in Alberta at a shop in Edmonton, and I was told it should put out between 450-500 to the crank. Nevertheless, no expense was spared. If u seen a picture of it you would understand. I'll post when I get home to my laptop.

Re: 91 camaro rs 500hp!!!!! Looooooooooookk :)

nice engine i also have a 355 on the stand im building now but id believe she could run 450 500 ponys but it just depends on how u build it.
guys calm down he said estimated to run that so just cause he doesnt have that doesnt mean it does have that many horses but with the dyno video and sheets would help alot out

Re: 91 camaro rs 500hp!!!!! Looooooooooookk :)

Thanks. Finally someone who doesn't talk down on it! I think I am going to remove this thread anyways. I had two guys show up on my door with cash in hand, and I couldn't let it go! It's my baby. I think I've decided against selling and try to find time for it. It's still a project to me, I won't drive it until the engine is dropped in, and working. Which leads me back to this site. Check for my new thread I'm about to start, I've got some questions hopefully someone may answer.

Dont compare a nascar engine to a engine rebuilders shop, are you kidding? Thousands of dollars dyno testing and 9000rpm for 500 miles of wide open racing Not even in the same ZIP code

Re: 91 camaro rs 500hp!!!!! Looooooooooookk :)

wait, thats a standard stroke. whats the compression ratio and the cylinder head volume? i bet with those and the other specs you have, you could plug them in to a horsepower calculator online and get a pretty decent estimate of the HP. try it.

Re: 91 camaro rs 500hp!!!!! Looooooooooookk :)

Thanks 85projectz28, I am so glad I kept the car! I'm slowly getting things done with the car, I'm about 12g into it now. I can't wait for this thing to hit the pavement. How do I find the cylinder head volume? I'm still in the learning process still. I have pics posted in my profile now, go check them out!!

Re: 91 camaro rs 500hp!!!!! Looooooooooookk :)

im not too sure how to get the head volume. you might have to look up the specs if you know exactly what kind of heads they are. it should be something like 64cc or 72 cc or something in that area. i would download the program called camquest from comp cams. it asks you to put in all your engine info like aspiration, bore, stroke, head volume, etc. and then it reccommends a cam for you. it gives you several choices so just find one that is closest to the cam you have and the program tells you an estimated horsepower which is pretty accurate! try that out!

The best program I found for hp numbers is desktop dyno its pretty darn accurate By the way your numbers come up to 350hp for your 355 with mufflers

Re: 91 camaro rs 500hp!!!!! Looooooooooookk :)

Um......... yeah.................. lugnut. It wasn't comparing his engine to a NASCAR engine. It was more of a statement rebutting the whole 450-500 horse out of 355ci and I am well aware the differences in race engines and street engines. I agree with mark87gta, displacement days are not as big a deal with all that has come to light on top end combo's in the past decade or two.

Glad you kept the car dream91 let us know how she pulls when it is together.

That's the best analogy I've heard so far! I'm going to get it dyno'd as soon as it's dropped in and running. Im curious myself as to what it's going to push. I'm just waiting on a new crossmember, clutch/flywheel and bolts to assemble the tranny and I will have it running! Won't be long now hopefully!

i get confused when people say they have a 496bbc for example and say its making 400hp id definetly would say if its the lates 80's early 90's i would questions 500hp out of a 355 but with tecnology today its very possible trust i learned alot at UTI
