lsx 1989 iroc with extras
i purchased this camaro over the summer from bluezee and this car is by far my dream car, needless to say i have put quite a bit more extras into it and touched up a few things on it. I am selling my dream car to start a new business ive developed. My price is $15,500 cash and if i dont get that...it will be a nice show piece for my showroom anyways...
l
Heres the important details:
Ultra Blue Metallic '89 IROC-Z hardtop (painted in the fall of 2010)
Zero rust, underbody was cleaned and painted same time as the body
Mileage on the body is unknown, but I can assure you everything that needed attention was replaced
The chassis is solid, there are no issues
The LS1 and 4L60E were pulled from a donor car mileage I believe is approximately 150k on the engine The compression on the engine was great and it had no issues when we drove the donor car so we replaced the rear main seal just as a precaution and installed everything as-is. There are no issues with the drivetrain, it starts, runs, and drives as it should. The engine is a '98 Ls1 with a 2002 ECM and wiring harness so it has the better tuning capabilities. It has been tuned.
New parts installed at the time of the swap:
Headliner
Carpet
Door panels
Inner and outer window sweeps
225lph Walbro fuel pump
Speaker grill covers
Sun visors
It has crank windows, power locks, manual mirrors, rear defrost, has the dash wiring for cruise but I didn't hook it up yet, has a/c hooked up with the swap.
Modifications besides the swap:
Shorty style hooker headers with all new exhaust system, high flow cat and back to a flowmaster muffler with stock looking turn down tail pipes under the bumper, extremely sleeper looking!
Custom made polished aluminum cold air kit with a K&N cone filter
4th gen windshield washer and coolant overflow tanks
4th gen rear end with 3.42 gears and Ls1 rear disc brakes
Things done to this car since i have owned it
The transmission is recently rebuilt with probably 100 miles on it if that...stiffer bands and clutches installed
i havnt decided which set of wheels go with the car yet...as i change them as often as the shoes on my feet
aluminum rear window louvers
brand new factory trunk cover (black slides out to cover hatch area)
arm rest changed to black
new dashpad installed
2005 gto black leather seats and 4th gen matching rear leather seats
4th gen 6 speed centerconsole
145 speedo installed
complete tune up with new spark plugs and all fluids
and also to add in some goodies
i am including BRAND NEW BMR adjustable panhard bar and lower control arms
i have the factory centerconsole and some other misc minor things that will be included with the sale

Re: lsx 1989 iroc with extras
How the hell did you get those seats to fit? The headrest must be almost touching the headliner, the side bolsters would almost be touching and the rear seats would be non accessible?
When the new GTO's came out I wanted to install a set of those seats in my 87. That is until my brother bought an 05 and I measured them. No way they would fit with the stock console and IIRC, the headrest would have been in contact with the t-top unless the seat tracks were cut down.

Re: lsx 1989 iroc with extras
I've asked him about the seats before, he said the center console isn't bolted down, the seats squish it so much that the console won't move around at all.

Do you have any specs on the engine/performance? HP, Torque, Mpg, 0-60 or quarter mile?

Re: lsx 1989 iroc with extras
The engine is a stock '98 LS1, 5.7L. Stock heads and intake, has a 4" custom cold air intake and shorty headers, that's all that is done performance wise though. Horsepower is probably around 300, torque is slightly less, probably 285-290 if I had to guess. Don't let that fool you though, this car is VERY quick. It's a really light weight car for a third gen.
