Looks like the stock Tuned Port 305 to me....
It's definently not an LT1...

the LT1 cam has a gear for a conventional (rear mount) distributor. It was a short block ordered from dealer. And installed by dealer. Everything from the 305 was swapped right to the LT1.

Given that your typical model year production is built the year before it is released to the public, your car was probably built somewhere around april-July of 1990. You can have a dealer run the Vin to verify.
The LT1 wasn't introduced until 1992, and only in the Corvette. Fbodies didn't get lt1's until 1993.
I can't speak on your claim on an LT1 cam having gears for a traditional distributor, but I do know the blocks are very different. The intake on one can't even bolt to tpi heads without significant work. You obviously have a tpi intake. What are the castig numbers on the heads and more importantly the block?
It's impossible, no matter how much you swear it true, for that car to come with an lt1 ordered at the dealer. I dont even think you could easily swap in a short block using tpi heads and intake but I could be wrong. What you have looks like a regular ol tpi motor. Without proof of casting numbers we can assume you're lying.

An LT1 camshaft would be believable.

Re: 91Z28 Convert. W/Pics
Sorry guys. I'm actually glad I posted the car on here. I bought the car in 1999 from the original owner who told me it was an LT1 create motor from GM. He said he ordered and bought the car, Then a few years later bought the create motor, and his buddy... who was the corvette mechanic at the dealership he bought the car from, installed the engine for him in like 95-96. He also told me it was a police package motor. So all these years I assumed it was an LT1. All of your posts promoted me to finally investigate. I'm having a hard time getting a look at the numbers stamped on the block while its in the car. But what I did see is an 880 stamp. So that should be verification that it is a 350 correct? Ill see if I can get a pic of the 880 stamp.

Sorry that the previous owner took your trust for granted. If you lay down on top of the engine with a flashlight you can move the wiring around on the driver side of the block, there's a flat spot on the back of the block where the bell housing mates to it. On the flat spot is a stamp, it will say 5.7 if it's a 350. Based on the track record with the previous owner it is more than likely the factory 305. No convertible camaros got the 350 stock.

Re: 91Z28 Convert. W/Pics
Maybe you guys can help me out. I tried laying on the motor and looking down behind the distributor all I saw was what looked like 990N or 990H or 990M maybe even 990K. it also may have been W066 or H066, you get the idea. Dose that mean anything to anyone?
I believe I may have a 880 ZZ4 block here. I know its not the original motor because I saw the original engine in the guys garage when I bought the car. I was supposed to get it with the car back in 99. The day I picked up the car I had no way to bring the other engine back also. I told him Id be back. Well long story short I never got the original motor. And it kills me to this day.
So anyway I'm 99% sure it is not the original 305 in the car. Today I saw 880 stamped in two different locations on the block. The intake manifold has 12 bolts 6 on each side. It is a metal timing cover not plastic. Ill count the bolts on that tomorrow. Also the valve covers have bolts going down the center.
So what do you think can anyone help me out? What else can I look for to find out if its a 880 ZZ4 350. I know where the numbers are located but I cannot read them without taking stuff apart and Im trying to avoid doing that.

,UQ1,UX6,VAN,VK3,V73,Z28,1AY,1SD,17P,24Q,67W,77W,8NL,821,822,829,9NL,98U
The 1AY I believe means "Custom built per dealer stock order"
