I bought this car last year off a lot while I was stationed on Camp Lejeune. According to the carfax at the time, that makes me the second owner of the car. It had 103k miles on it then, and I’ve driven the car up from NC, to IL, and on a round trip down to Lubbock TX. Now that I’m planning on going back to school, I need to get rid of it.
The car is fairly clean, but it was supposed to be a project car for me and it isn't finished yet so there are a few issues to address. Behind the drivers rear wheel there is a spot where the paint was bubbling up when I bought it. I didn't want it to get worse before I could get around to painting the car, so I just knocked off the loose paint and sprayed on some primer to slow the rust. The panel didn't rust through; it just looks pretty ghetto now that there's primer showing. Also, the same thing happened on the inside of the doors on the bottom. That part doesn’t look as bad though. There was a hole in the floor pan, right behind the driver’s front wheel. I put a patch on that, and I think it was caused be the PO jacking up the car from there, causing a scratch which lead to rust. The rest of the floor pan was fine, and that's pretty much the extent of the rust issues this car had.
Since I’ve had it in the garage, I started doing a little work on it. I really shouldn’t have because I kind of screwed some stuff up. After I put in the MSD ignition and the rebuilt Q-jet it never really ran right, and at the moment I can’t seem to get it started. At this time it is not running. I’m pretty sure someone with more skill than me could get it to run without much trouble. The car ran great with the stock carb and dizzy. But at this point, with time running out until the school year, I’ve decided to quit while I’m ahead and just sell the car as is. I am asking 2,200 obo. I need it gone fairly soon. If you live in my area I’d be willing to pay to tow the car to your place. Also, PM/email me if you need any more details, pics of anything you’d like, ect. Also, I have the original dizzy and a working CCC carb that you can have if you buy the car.
I am also selling all the UMI suspension goodies I bought for this project. I held off putting these on the car when I realized I might have to turn around and sell it. They are all new, never used, and I still have the boxes they shipped in. I will sell these either with the car or separately. They are all black, mild steel pieces with all poly bushings. I’ll eat the shipping charge, and I’m selling them at a 10% discount. I have;
UMI sub frame connectors-$207
Adjustable Panhard Rod & Non-adjustable lower control arms-$220
Weld in LCA relocation brackets-$72
Wonder bar-$54
Torque arm relocation bracket-$234
Tubular torque arm-$216

Just so you know, I have no idea why some of those pics are big and some are small.
7/27 Price Reduced
8/30 Price reduced again

Bump again. Price is still negotiable, but I'm not dropping the list price again. PM me if you've got an offer.
