Decided To Keep,

As title states. 1992 Red Z 28, with the 5 speed transmission. 5 Liter engine naturally, which was rebuilt in January of 2012. The rod bearing spun in #4 cylinder, so I bought a GM crank, and GM rod and piston for this engine and installed all new bearings, rings, oil pump, timing chain. Had the heads checked and milled surface as well.Replaced MAP sensor and ignition module in June. Only use Mobil1 Synthetic oil.
List of Items replaced in the last year and a half are as follows. New headliner, new clutch less than 2500 miles ago, new rear sway bar bushings and end links, New radiator, new plugs and wires, new ECM, rear tires, Exhaust is two years old factory replacement. Car was garaged entire time except by the owned before me, who kept it covered for one year outside, before it went in storage.
The bad, or not so great as I would like to put it, as there is not too much "bad" with this 20 year old Z.
It does need a new tire on R/T steer position. The rear tires are a match, but are not what I consider a performance tire. The L/T steer is fairly new with 80% tread but is a single brand tire. I would like to put all new tires of one brand on it. The other bad thing is somewhere along its life, someone has jacked the R/T front up on the body panel seam instead of the frame pad and it has caused the fender to bulge a little. If you know someone with a frame rack, this can be easily pulled back out. Should take longer to pull car on rack, than pull seam straight. DOES NOT affect the door operation, and is noticeable only if you are looking for it.
Minor issues, has typical paint chips, this is a driver. The Tuned Port Injection emblem on rear needs replaced, the Z28 emblem is new on rear. Does not have the heat guards for plugs at exhaust manifolds. they twisted up and I sliced a finger open on them, so they hit the trash with a fury. When I was installing intake runners, one of the Torx bolts came up MIA. I installed a new hex bolt, but hid it low as to not stand out. You have to hunt for it, down low, rear left. The speedometer quit working at 92,000. Ive replaced the speed sensor (twice) and it is in the speedometer head itself. I drive by the tach, so I never replaced, cruise also does not work due to the speed head. Also has a cracked top dash. Clear coat is starting to peel on edge of r/t door along window, it has been this way for the last seven years, with no signs of expanding. Can not see unless looking for that.
The remainder of the interior is terrific. Cloth interior, Grey/Black houndstooth style pattern.Has original functioning and lighting Delco stereo, with cassette player which does not eat tapes. Mirror light shines down on shifter, and both map lights on mirror work. Dome light and lens excellent. I just clay barred and waxed exterior last weekend.Feels great and shines with good reflection. Rear hatch works correctley, struts and electric release/pull down function. PW and PDL, all work. Rear defrost OK, Cold A/C but could use a shot of refrigerant, it blows warm after a few seconds at a stop light. It still has the original R-12 in system also, has not been retrofitted. One lb cans on CL here for around $35.00.
All lights work, wipers, horn, safety belts. I have extensive pictures I can send. I can text or email. Send any requests to 502-424-7974. My name is Ron. If you want to speak to me, leave a message and I will call back. My job keeps me busy but I will return any calls for questions or texts. Email is also an easy way to reach me. I am currently trying to get pictures hosted to upload. Please be patient. Thank you. $7500.00 OBO, willing to trade for a nice G-Body Malibu 78 up. I have a ton of pics and will load if requested, if I do not have it, I will take it at your request.
