1989 Camaro 1LE R7U
Project, Rough shape. Needs quarter repair and floor repair. Interior is complete but needs TLC. Carpet removed to steam clean and check floor. GM documentation, was raced out of Stony Plain. Narrowed down to two possible drivers. Engine has been replaced (Apparent warranty, no VIN, plenum sticker visible and yellow sealing paint). Proper brakes, 9 bolt BW rear, AL driveshaft and race chip is in place. Exhaust has been replaced from race. Runs but fuel pump needs replaced, $5000 CAD obo.

It is a bit different. Have a look at the thread in History. The A4Q, A4U, R7U code cars were prepared for the Players Challenge Series in Canada.

And it's a 1LE car. Aluminum drive shaft, baffled fuel tank, bigger brakes, bigger sway bars, a/c and fog light delete, everything for weight savings. Rare car!!

Thanks Dagwood - correct this is a rarer car. 1/111 1LE for 1989 and 1/74 with R7U.

It was yes. It was called Joe Dogherty back then. Looks like 1990 they changed the name.

Well, other project is back in play so I've committed this afternoon. The car is back up for sale 4500.00 CAD FIRM if I can get sold before winter so I don't have to pay for storage on another car.
