Hell, if that don't work, try getting a carfax report. IF someone's still using it, the registration should show up on the report, as well as any bad things that might have happened.
Hope you find her,
Hope you find her,
hmmm.....
Runing to DMV tomarrow, mabey I can get a lead there. Carfax is ok, but most I will get is the current(last) state of reg. I doubt shes toast, I just feel shes still around.
besides.... I don't right care. I'll weld her back together piece by piece if I have to.
Thanks all

Not tobring you down, but the engine code in the VIN you put up is not for an IROC, but for a 1989 RS TBI... IROC were equipped with TPI engines only.
But if your heart is set on looking for her because of what she means to you...it doens't matter if it's an IROC or not...
Good luck

Where did you get that infomation.?
All resources I have to date, The F code LB9 was the tpi 305's.
(cam difference etc) where as mine is E- 305 TBI(LO3), auto, t-tops (plastic junk I replaced with glass)
I ran all the numbers I could when I bought the car in 96, near Schofield baracks area. She was a trade in they took just a few days before. I was there the day it hit the lot. (Called weeks in advance and the called me back when they took it in)
Now the question is, why orde an IROC with a LO3 from the dealer.. ?????
Eitherway, Thanks for the heads up, and I will post pics when I find her and bring her home

And the L03 was standard for RS Converts, and were available with RS's as well, but were an option, not standard.
Hope this helps, and good luck finding your IROC. Keep us updated.
Nothing as yet, DMV shut me down cold. I figured they would, figured it was as good a place as any to start. Any clues would be great seeing as I've not done this before... how do you find a car like that. Any advice welcome.
Thanks guys

Well, thats not a good sign. If the car hasn't had any vehicle activity, that means that it hasn't been driven in a very good while on the streets. Where did it say was the last documented activity located?
Hey thanks for the car fax, for some reason I can see the car in my minds eye as sitting in someone’s yard, maybe it wishful thinking maybe not. Its seems though that if that’s the end of the line then the trail is cold, having been sold at auction maybe there is a paper trail maybe not. Thanks for the help, I'm not giving up just yet. Things are getting a bit hectic here but I'm not throwing in the towel just yet.
