WTB: THIRD GEN. CONVERTIBLE
Looking for a third gen. vert. must be a v-8 prefer 5 speed, but will consider autos. price under 6k please. projects ok as long as price is good. if the car needs body work and paint or new top I would rather pay closer to 2k than 6k.

Re: WTB: THIRD GEN. CONVERTIBLE
Thanks for all the replys guys, I am still looking for a vert. I am mainly interested in Camaros but I do have friends interested in TA's and Firebirds. If you would e-mail me some pics. and your prices it would be appreciated. I am trying to close on a house so it may be a couple of weeks before I can seriously consider buying but I am in the market. Maybe after a couple of weeks I can be the proud owner of a 3rd gen. vert.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: WTB: THIRD GEN. CONVERTIBLE
Pics are coming. As for details, Im positive that when one says 5,000 whith in the same context of a discussion about the sale of a vehicle, in particular the one in question , common sense and logic , for the average person, means 5,000 D O L L A R S , but for the sake of those who might be a bit challenged , I spelled it out above. Now, for those who are serious , in particular bama , what sort of details do you want? The odometer reads 175,000 but the engine was rebuilt I was told aprox. 75,000 miles ago, for whatever thats worth. Ive also replaced several old parts.

Re: WTB: THIRD GEN. CONVERTIBLE
hey 91skybluez28,
I guess the details I would like are as listed:
1 clear title or salvage? any accidents?
2 frame for the top good? no broken or missing pieces back window good or crap, top itself good or crap
3 what shape is the interior in? rips, tears, stains, original or transplanted from a fourth gen.( this seems to be a growing fad for some reason)
4 any electrical problems? gauges not working or malfunctioning lighting issues
5 does the car have four wheel disc brakes or the disc/drum combo?
6 does the a/c work? I know people think " it's a vert why do you need an a/c?" because it was 106 degrees here last summer thats why
7 is the dash good or cracked all to hades?
8 how about rust? I under stand in FL the winters are fairly mild, but it does rain down there.
9 does the car have power windows and locks and trunk and mirrors and do they all work properly?
10 pics would answer most of these questions
11 any leaks from the engine or transmission?
these are just a few things that are usually on my mind when i think of purchasing a vehicle from someone, if you can think of anything I may have forgotten let me know.
thanks
bama boy
