Looking for Iroc-Z

Hello,

I am looking to find an Iroc-z to replace the one that I bought for my fiancee a few years back (the one described on side profile) Some ***** crashed into it at a stop light about a year ago and he has been trying to get it all fixed since then but a trip to the body shop the other day had some ugly truths. The bill for repair starts at 3-4 thousand but could be more, basically we hear that it needs new metal from the firewall up. He wants to wait and see if it's possible to fix at all and in the meantime i'd like to see if its possible to find him another if he cant fix this one. soooo....

I am trying to find another Iroc-z to buy for him...I just can't stand to see his unhappiness without his 'baby'. \

Ok, so I am very specific in what I am looking for..

Iroc-z, preferably in the later years 88-90
Body in good condition (dont care about paint) little to no rust
dont care about modifications
No carb! must be TPI
Only Manual!
dont care about interior condition (dont want it trashed though)

Would be willing to travel a bit to find one

EDIT: Could also be a IROC-Z roller as our motor/trans and all else run great.

Anyone can live with an automatic, it's just hard to enjoy one.

Agreed.

Lol, sorry no...It's bad enough I've got to drive a honda x.x. Driving an auto is just so boring, can't really control the car the way I'd like, and blah blah.

Maybe if in like a year or so i can't find what I'm looking for i'd settle on an auto and convert it to manual *sigh*

Re: Looking for Iroc-Z

i'm in raleigh, i have a 88 iroc the car has a brand new gm engine with about 6000 miles on it. I have reciepts in excess of 20000 restoring it to original condition. This engine was professionally installed and is under full waranty. the interior has new carpet and seats done 3 years ago. all rubber weatherstripping has been replaced including t tops seals and are gm . Everything works but cruise control, Egr has been bypassed. Can produce reciepts. I want 8000 and wont budge.
