Looking for my old 84 z28
Trying to track down my old z28 Camaro, first Camaro I ever owned and had to sell because of hard times. well now I have my own business and a great day job, I would love to hunt this old girl down and beg to buy it back. last known location was on state route 736 near us 42 in union county ohio. should have been a plain city address. car was brown/tan two tone, stock paint. 305 L69 high output, t5, brand new black seats, carpet, headliner, engine had spun bearing in the bottom end. car had jegs sticker on rear window and moroso sticker as well. bad boys club decal on rear bumper cover and all original factory decaling. car had Dayton Daytona sr tires on it, rears were bald. car still has a active title and is titled in union county. vin#1G1AP87G6EN113021, title#8000349211, my plate # was ELS7466. that's all the info I have on the car and if somebody could help me in anyway to find this car it would be amazingly appreciated!! the idea of having her back and being able to restore it brings a tear to my eye. I can post pictures of the car but the ones I do have are crappy quality. I would love to have the car back in any condition!! the DMV wont help me due to the privacy act of 1994

Good luck with the finding of it. Sounds like she means allot to you. You have most of the info needed which tells ya it aint in the junkyard and is still out "prowling around" Good luck!

Re: Looking for my old 84 z28
Thanks man, the car was the world to me. First fbody was a 1988 gta trans am 1le ws6, g92 rearend option b2l. I sold it to get a t-top car witch ended up being the 84 im hunting for. I cried when i had to sell that car and i hounded the guy for over two years to sell it back to me. since he drove her home, set it in back yard and let 3ft of weeds grow around it. He gave me $800 for it and i begged him to sell it back to me for $1200. Every time it was a flat out no, till he sold it to somebody else :'( what a jerk! So now im in the position to buy it back at almost any cost. I just hope somebody didnt throw some junk yard 350 in it and strip the interiour to make a "race car" it would be amazing to find her how i left her, spun bearings and all. I would love to build the original L69 and restore the car to show room with a few extras. If it comes down to it ill pay a P.I.to find her since there aloud access to personal info.

I have often thought about finding my 1988 Formula but I don't even have the VIN number....
I hope you get her back.

If you can get ahold of the insurance company you insured the car threw they can give you the vin!!!!
thats how i got mine. Then did a dmv search and found the rest of the info. Finding that info is easy the actual finding the car part is whats proving to be hard.

What came of this? My wife thinks she has seen this car running and driving in Plain City, she just can't remember exactly when. It's not a very common color combo anymore.

Re: Looking for my old 84 z28
The car my wife saw was in the last year or so. She saw it on the east side of town on 161, close to what used to be rt 42.
I went to Tolles also, but that was in the late 90's. I was in the autobody program.
BTW, I hope you find it. I always like the brown/gold color combo and wished there were more around.

I had Tatman both years, he's a great guy. Me and my buddies used to TP his property on a regular basis, he somehow always knew it was us but he also didn't care because it was all in good fun. Haven't seen him in a couple years though.

Sorry for the late reply. Still looking for the car with no luck, i would be interested in another car if i could find a L69 t5 car. My price range it about 2500 and lower. Been considering selling my cavalier project to fund another L69 buy. Im going to go to bmv soon and do some more hunting hopefuly the new owner will transfer the damn title.

I have an '84 Z28 that's an L69/T5 car, but it's pretty rough and should get a complete resto. It's cheap, but it's not a quick project.

Re: Looking for my old 84 z28
I would be extreamly interested in your 84. Im assuming its the silver 84 ive seen youve had no luck selling in the past. I can assure you i would give it a great home. I went to tolles in plain city for auto collision and spent over two years working for a outfit in plain city called taylor autobody doing collision and restoration. I own my own small outfit called N&F Performance as well building engines and street/strip cars and trucks. The car would deffanitly get a full restoration of show quality and quite some love in the go fast department. Not sure if you have a L69/t5 combo for the car as i seen in your adds prior that it was long gone. If thats true i have a 5.3 sitting here that was originaly intended for my 86 s10 but more than likly would find its home with a t56 under the hood of the z28. Look forward to your responce thank you.

Lol, you caught me off-guard, haven't really thought about it. I think I overpaid for the T5 setup. $600 would probably be fine if you wanted everything. If you took a look around here, we'd likely find more things you might be interested in too.

Actually, that might be too much. I'd rather the car get used by someone.

Yeah just PM me your phone # and if it isn't snowing tomorrow, I'll send you some pictures. It basically looks just as it did before, but I have removed the front mud flaps and it's sitting on my car trailer right now.
