Winnipeg Shops!
I just want to say that I appreciate everything that Motion Performance has done for me, the endless hours of help and for all the extremely helpful dyno time! I will stay away from Rivercity Performance for as long as I live! Those guys are full of empty promises. When they do get something, its twice the price that they quoted you, because of some "unknown" shipping they didnt know about, yeah, RIGHT!

hey im from winnipeg, anyhow motion isnt that great either, they quote one price and then jack it up when you come to pick up your parts. I just order crap off the internet and that seems to werk out better.
Well, it also depends who you deal with there, Billy is a stupid ba$tard, he likes to do what you said, but Sheldon is a pretty stand up guy I think, he never goes back on his word, when he quotes you a price, thats what it is and thats it! Who did you deal with there?

I dont remeber who I dealt with there, a friend of mine worked there for a while, before they shut down with there financial troubles. I actually order alot of stuff from the canadian tire special order cataloge. I know that sounds like a wierd place to get things but I shop around and they end up being the cheapest place

I've dealt with Softy's, they were decent to me. Got me all the parts I needed to finish the bottom end of my engine. The prices were pretty good too, only problem was that I ended waiting 6 weeks for the parts to come, cause his supplier pulled out on him and he had to go to another supplier. But other than that I've no complaints about them..... I seem to deal with all the shady shops. I've had no real complaints about any of them, cept River City. They had no clue as to what I needed, but then again not everyone looks for parts for a 5.4L ( 327 cid ) engine.

I havent had my car out since last year for a sunday. Its getting a total color change and carb to TPI swap.. hopfully ill be out for the end of august and I can meet up with you guys then. lol Im driving a tempo right now theres no way im taking that on potage like all these little 16 year old kids, lol. although i could put the cardboard ground effects on that seems to be a good mod for tempos and other p.o.s. cars.

Has anyone had work done by Intercity Auto? They said they'd install a driver's side floorpan and the price is right. I haven't heard anything about them yet, though.

Re: Winnipeg Shops!
I was going to go to Motion Performance....
So that brings up the question...where DO you go? I need some stuff done, T-56 trans, weld in subframes, new rearend, cat back exhaust etc....where do you go to get this stuff done RIGHT and at a decent price?

Re: Winnipeg Shops!
My experiences thus far.....
Stay away from Total!!! Bunch of assclowns that gouge.
Motion is alright. Haven't had problems with them.
Softy's is pretty much all 60's "old skool" stuff.
One shop I really like is sandale out in Grande pointe. I had them fab and install my subframe connectors and recently bought a new set of AFR heads from them at a good price. No bullshit. Good service.
