So i just bought an 83' Camaro and was wondering what to do with it.......I bought it for $1000 right now it needs :Tires, 4 Discs and 4 pads (conversion was done for the back i believe) and i have to fix a hole in the floor (which isnt bad at all $600 to fix) After all that its gonna be driveable but my real question is should i fix it and then mod it or should i sell it?

 

Im gonna get more pics by the end of the week because i have it in storage till march.

The front clip/hood don't appear to be from an 83 (or the IROC wheels). Been modded or wrecked, I wonder? Does the speedo have a double pointer?

What do you mean by double pointer? And my car used to be a V6 2.8L but the guy before decided that it would b best if he put the original V8 Camaro engine and change it to standard.At the same time he changed the hood and did the disc conversion.

 

I see. I imagine the speedo then is a dual pointer. For example, compare the one in your car with the one in the following pic:

The one in the pic is the one i have.

 

I'll be darned. Well, an 83 wouldn't have been originally equipped with the one in the pic. Those didn't arrive until 85. With everything else that's been done to the car, perhaps the PO swapped the cluster as well--either that or the car isn't an 83.

Humm, well, personally, I'd look for something else to mod, a blank canvas so to speak. Makes the work much easier than trying to determine what the PO or PO's did and how they did it. Sell unless you're looking for a challenge.

Hmm you have a point.The only thing i can argue is it runs perfectly fine only noise it makes is the brakes.
