Is it possible to bridge a 4 channel amp to 1 channel?
I was looking around in my basement and I have a little system that I forgot about... My buddy has a Geo Metro and wants a small system.. So I hooked it up for him... I bridged the 2 left channels to 1 and now I have nothing on the right 2 channels.. Its a little pyramid 300 watt crappy amp but right now im only using half the amps power.. Its hooked up to one little 10 inch pyramid 300 watt sub... It barely bumps right now.. But an extra 100 watts or so could prolly make it move a bit better... Anyone know how? Its a single voice coil ****ty sub...
Whut if I bridged channels 1+2 and connected the wires into the positive input on the sub, and bridged channels 3+4 into the negative input of the sub? Whut would this do?
Your amp would get really hot, really quick and u would prolly burn up the fuse and possibably the power wire. If the sub was DVC then u could do it but unless im mistaken u cant sefely hook it up like that.
