4 channel amp question

This is kind of a basic question but I am going to ask it none the less. I have a 4 channel RF that I am trying to hook up. I was going to run 4 channel monster RCAs back to it but I just now remembered that I have only 2 RCA outs on my CD player. How am I going to hook this up? I have the 4 channel RCAs ready to go but it looks to me like I am going to have to run a 2 channel RCA cable back to either my 2 channel RF that is going in as well or to a crossover. Please help me out I am looking for the relatively speaking least expensive way out. I am not looking for cheap by any means. But with an engagement ring coming soon I dont have as much money to spend as I did when I started this project.

You can run your rca to a crossover but, that would cost a little bit of money to buy a crossover. Or you can go up to radio shack or best buy or something and buy some splitters for your RCAs that only cost about 4 bucks or something. I had to do this with my old head unit. Its the cheapest way to go.

So what you are saying is buy 2 pair of splitters and plug one into the red and one into the white and just send the 4 channel RCA back that way. I know I am sounding pretty stupid right now but I am just not sure how it would know how to split the 2 left and rights into 4 left and rights thats all.

yup, hes right. You want to buy 2 splitters that go from 1 male into 2 female RCA jacks. I did it to my pioneer when I had it in my car. Its the easiest way. They are like 4.99 each from radio shack.

The other way was the crossover that takes one set of RCA jacks and makes front, rear and sub outputs. Thats about 50 bucks to do that.

Make sure to have your fiancee' tweak the ***** for the amp gain while you sit in the car and listen to your favorite cd... you're going to have no fader operation anymore with this kind of setup. So, if you want a fade towards the rear, you'll need to have the amp gain lower for the front speakers, and turned up more for the rear speakers. So you can "build in" a fade that way... but make sure it's good, because you won't be able to change it without diving into the trunk!
