Dreaming here....

ok this summer I'll have about $2000 to spend on my car. I'm doing a motor or was thinking bout a kick *** stereo. what do you think 2 12" L7 solo barics running 600w apiece to em would hit? and would I have to worry bout stronger glass and stuff? I can't decide stereo or motor. I've never seena stereo louder than 2 12's around here. so I think I could set the new record, everybody has a motor :-) thanks for the advice.......oh and the main question I'm asking is would I have to worry about the windows and stuff with that stereo? sorry got to ramblin

it sounds to me like you already have a nice engine, I would do the system. Yea I know for a fact those 2 12's would slam. My brothers friend had 2 10 l7's and they about took my breath away. I say go for it

i seriously doubt you would have to replace the glass unless you have weak or cracked glass to begin with. you dont see competitors start switching in plexi or anything until they're up in the 150-160+ range. i dont think you'll get there, but you should be fine. i'm hoping for the 140 mark myself, might end up doing a new ported box one of these days.....

I always try to alternate. Motor/car and stereo.

Those 2 L7's will pound for sure.

no my opion hasn't changed on them. I'm just looking to something drastic. and I'm making "hidden" boxes and with 8 subs that would be hard. but no I still think they are overpriced, just thinking :-)

70 hours a week and only $2000? Where are you working? I bring home 500 every 2 weeks and work a little more than 55 hours a week.
