Where is a good spot to run the power wire through the firewall?

Hello all, Im installing a small system into my T/A and if anyone remembers where they ran their power wire please let me know.Im doing this in my driveway. The battery is on the front passenger side of the engine compartment.Would you guys recommend that I run my power wire on the passenger side or the driver side.Did you guys drill a hole for the wire because I dont see anyplace where I can push the wire through. All suggestion are welcome and thank you for your help.

if you have an auto, then you can use the clutch hole on the drivers side to put the wire through

there isn't a clutch hole on auto equipped cars. But, that area is a good area to drill and make a hole. On camaros, since the battery is on the passenger side, I like to drill the hole through the passenger kick panel right near the antenna wire hole.

Regardless if where you put the hole, make sure to properly install a rubber grommet.

There should be a hole on the drivers side under the harness connectors. If not it's a good place.

WAAAAAAAAIT!!! DONT DRILL HOLES IN YOUR FIRE WALLS!!!!

thats the worst thing you can do...if you look in the engine compartment when the hood is open(duh) the fenders have a slight gap in them...(irocs anyways hope they are the same) all i did was used a metal hanger as a guide and guided through the crack and into the door frame(where the door closes and opens near the hinge) now bend the power wire in through your car behind your moldeed plastic stuff and donw the right side (passenger) under the rug and inside "rocker panels) and back to your amp...less holes in your floor the better...i almost had a fire when i did the drill the firewall thing!!

trust me this way is MUCH safer!!

if you need pics ill try and get some!!

Ever think about your power wire slipping and the door smashing it in the jam? I would rather rish a safe alternative going through the firewall then risk having the cover on the cable pinched off and have a bare power wire going through my door

if you would actually take a look and see what the other people were saying, you would see that it would be **very** hard to pinch the wire. Pull off your kick panel and you will see a hole for your antenna...either run the power wire through that one, or drill another one and you'll be fine - - the wire is not going to get pinched unless you did a ****ty job and have a lot of slack in the wire.
