powering new amp.
hey, i am planning on wiring neons up in the trunk where my subs and amp is hooked up. i have one wire coming from my battery connected to my 1800 watt amp now. i am also planning on dropping in another amp back there. now for this new amp can i run the power of my original 1800 watt amp, or will i have to run a wire all the way to the battery? the other amp i want to put in is 600 watts. i hope its clear enough. thanks.

with an 1800w amp i hope your running 4ga. wire to it and if you are you can simply buy a distribution block you should also be able to run your neon power wire out of the distribution block along with the power wire for your second amp.

Let's forget about the power ratings and look at the fuse size on the amps. That's all that matters. What brand/model amp are they? If it's an 1800 watt PPI or Kicker, you should be running 0 AWG for each. If it's an 1800 watt Profile, some lamp cord will suffice. Give us a little more information and we can come up with a better reccomendation. Most important info is the reccomended fuse size on each amp.
