Need ideas for deck and amp quick please..

Thought I'd put this in another post so it gets a little more attention...

The deck and amp that I ordered through a dealer were completely out of stock and now I need to find something else to get in place of them. I was going to get the Pioneer DEH-P7400MP deck along with an Ample A414X amplifier. For the headunit I am mainly looking for something w/ MP3 capabilities, and for the amp, something to power my new CDT audio components. If anybody knows of any good brands that are comparable in price to either of these, please let me know as I am not an audio guy by any means.

not sure about your price range, but as for the amp, I would look at Diamond audio amps, or alpine. As for the deck I know that sony, alpine, rockford, and pioneer all make decks that can play mp3's.

well being that im going thru a dealer, i'm getting them for a lot cheaper...

crutchfield shows the Pioneer 7400, which what I was going to be getting....they list it for $330...i would have gotten it for $260. The amp I was going to get listed for around $250...would have gotten it for $160. So it's hard to say exactly how much I want to spend, knowing that the price discount varies w/ the product...

Im planning on getting the Kenwood MPV7019 headunit...which I can get for less, so I'm figuring w/ discount, i'd be able to afford a $450 (retail) or less amp (hoping for around $250 range w/ discount)

I love my JL 300/2, so I would say look into the 300/4. Kicker makes a great amp, as does MTX, Pioneer amps aren't all that bad, RF, Infinity, Alpine, PG, etc etc

I have a friend selling a Diamond amp, http://www.carsound.com/ubb/ultimate...c;f=9;t=002034

Its only 2-channel and prob out of your price range....
