Why can't you do it? Don't have tools? No place to work on your car? Never done it before?

Installing an amp is incredibly easy. All you need is a drill (battery or corded), screwdriver, screws, buy a amplifier installtion kit (has all wires, connectors, fuse block/fuses etc) and an afternoon of your time.

If you take it to get installed, you may have a good install job at CC or you very well may not. To better your odds of not having problems with installs, or if you do have problems a place to take it to, go to a car audio shop and have them install it. It will likely cost a little more, but you *should* have people working on your car with more exp. and more attn to detail then you would probably get at CC. CC has nothing to loose if they install something wrong, its just a small fraction of their income. A car audio shop on the other hand has most everything riding on their installations.

In agreement with the above post, installing an amp is easy. Especially if you buy it new with the box and installation instructions and everything. Also I've seen some pretty overpriced and not so pretty installs come out of Circuit City.

I'm happy with the 2-JL 10W0's I have. You'd probably be happy with just one. Couple that with a small 50x2 Phoenix Gold or equivelent amp and you'd only be out about $300.

I would still suggest just asking Q's here and doing searches and install it yourself. Just use a pre-formed box to install the subs and the rest is cake....unless you can't twist a screwdriver. lol Don't be intimidated by it, if something is confusing about the process just ask here, there are lots of very knowledgable people here.

Besides, its just good practice to do stuff on your own.

No offense to anyone who works at Circuit City....but the AVERAGE installer there does not know crap......do it yourself......or just waste the money and let them do it

enclosed subwoofer

What is a good enclosed subwoofer? I want that you can just put the two in each and it is ready to go. what i have now is one that is called becker from an ames dept. store? I like the q-logic stuff but you have to buy everything separate. thanks
