Jl W0 ???????

are the 12" JL W0 any good??? cause i can get them for like $90. If i don't get those i'm going to get the W3's. what amp should i run. i don't want my amp to be that pricey. i'm either going to be running 2 12's or 2 10's. not sure yet. i just don't want to spend that much on an amp cause i know JL amps ae like $400.

all of the W series is has really low RMS ratings except the W7 the really low power needs is what makes these subs so great, because you dont have to have a huge amp to run them! although most people will tell you that the W0's can take 200-250 and be just fine but if you blow one at 200 JL isnt going to do warranty work on it!

**EDIT**
Didnt read your whole post, but $90 a piece for those 12's is kinda steep you can get them off ebay for cheaper than that, or try www.discountsjungle.com they have pretty cheap prices.

You dont have to run a JL ampe either, you can get something like the JBL powervalve, the 300.1 would be perfect for 2 12w0's or 10w0's it would give them 150 watts RMS each

Another quick note about the JL's. I have two 10W0's and the tech guy for JL actually reccomended the W0's over the W-3's when I told him I was running 200 watts RMS per sub. Secondly, you could get them cheap online somewhere, but JL doesn't authorize online sales of their subs anywhere. Which means if something does go wrong, you're SOL. I'd rather pay the extra $20 per sub and get them from an authorized dealer.

Hey.
I just thought i should comment on the JL WO's, since i just had some installed. They can get real loud. Sound quality wise - well i cant really say much right now cause i havent exactly tuned my system.
I have 390 watts going to both and they seem to love it. The installer said its no problem at all. I will let you know how it turns out after i get it all tuned. Also - they dont need lots of airspace - which is something we thirdgen owners have to consider quite a bit.
Personally ide recommend them. Let me know if u have questions - i will do my best to help you out.
Pics coming soon!!!

i would look into buying one w7 and a tube enclosure. I have found that one good sub down in the hatch always aounds better that a lot even with the top. and from jl experience make sure you run the rca wire on the other side than the power wires i ruined 3 jl w6's with that doh: goodluck

12 W0's are/were what I'm using. I was running 2 but took it down to one sub and it still is loud. It beats out a lot of other subs out there.

W7's are insane .... I'm going with two Gen 2 12w6's myself. And because of the way they need to be wired (being dual voice coil 6 ohm's each and all) I'm gonna be getting a seperate amp for each sub (so 3 amps total).

Hey man, I've said this before but gotta say it again. Your car looks d@mn good! I've seen other 91-92 Firebirds which I don't like, but yours rocks!
...Oh man and its a 5 speed. I just started learning stick with my friend's truck, can't imagine driving without stick, even though I do, ugh. Stick shift rules!

Crazy Hawaiin, the W6v2's are dual 4 ohm. They could both run off of a JL 1000.1 very nicely.

Hey ChevyLuva3, thanx for the compliment. Sometimes a stickshift is a hassle but fun most of the time.

Back on topic, whats the actualy weight of a W7, and how deep is the driver. Im having a vision but I doubt I have enought cu. ft. to make the box work.

It requires about 1.5 cu.ft total for 1 12W7 (sealed). The weight is 45lbs, and the mounting depth is 9.5"
