two amp wiring questions

1st question: How should three amps be wired to the remote wire (turns on the amps when H/U is turned on) on the headunit? Should I do it in series from one amp to the next or splice the wire midway and run it to all three amps?

2nd: Anyone know a good way to get a power wire through the firewall? Are there any openings already there? I really want to avoid drilling if I can help it.

Thanks for any help

1) generally your headunit can support 3 amps on a remote lead, but to be safe you might want to just wire it to a relay...

2) pull off your passenger's kick panel and your fender guard thing on the front passenger wheel; you can drill through there, but check for clearance before you do anything.. install a gromet and you're good to go!

I'm not familiar at all with relays. How does that work?
