Need A Battery

The battery in my camaro is shot, but its going to be a daily driver. So I am thinking of pulling the one out of my s10 thats like 6 months old, and putting it in the camaro. Now on the s10 I have quite a bit of elec stuff, and plan on putting more!!. So I need something that can take some good hits, and charge back up. I have An underdrive pully on the alt which I plan on taking off when I can find a stock one. What is going to be my best battery. I did a small search and came up with optima. I know theirs other brands!!! Also, if you could, hook me up with a website to get it from. Thanks!!!

I don't know about brands in your country, but I recommend you go for a battery designed for a diesel vehicle, if you're planning on having lots of electrical load. The diesel requires a lot more current to start up, and therefore will be a much more heavy duty battery.

I did it, and now I can listen to my CD player all night, and still get to work in the morning. Well, I could before I took the engine apart......

the optima yellow top sounds like it would work well for you.. it lasts a long time, and it doesnt really hurt it if it gets completely discharged a lot...

Ok, I have seen the diesel batterys. I don't think they would fit in the hole, Otherwise I would prob look into that. So basically find an optima battery. Any good websites right of the top of your head. I have a 300 watt amp, plan on getting another one. Air bag compressors. HID headlights, shaved doors. Plan on getting full neons, power bed cover, digital dash, and also that other amp. Thanks for the input

Pep Boys and Advance Auto Parts both carry Optimas, if you'd rather not wait for a battery to get shipped. If you want to find them online, there are quite a few sites that carry them, and admittedly I can't keep up with who has them for less. Do a search on Yahoo or Google for Optima Yellow and you'll get about 9000 matches. Literally Hope that helps.

If you want a yellow top, most Advance stores have to order them. It should be next day and the price here in FL is $184 i think.
