I have a single 10" Alpine Type-S in a box that I made that only takes up half of the well. It sounds great to me! No pics yet though...

Thanx, its a long hard and ongoing effort to make it up to par with my liking. Of, and my neck is starting to hurt from looking at your pic .. HEHE.

Nice setup, I love kicker products...

That's how I am getting my box made by REZN8R, except he said that the sub will be sunk back, not angled. How does that sound like that? I like it better than with the sub facing up myself. And is your amp screwed strait into the car, or do you have a piece of wood under it or somethin?

Hey DSLDUDE2001, I noticed you had your amp mounted to your box. I was wondering if your box is still air-tight even with that amp screwed to the box. Also I've been heard somewhere that having it mounted like that your amp rattles and it can break it. Just wonderin if you've had any problems at all. Thanx Like the setup with the GREAT $20 digital camera j/k, setup looks good.

Thanks!

I sealed the screw holes up with lots of calk, so it should be sealed pretty good... The box is really just a rectangular box under that board. The box doesnt even take up all that area down there... So, the amp has two screw holes in the box and two that are just in that board but dont go into the box... if that makes any sense... about rattling and breaking, I haven't had any problems yet, but I guess you could if the your system was more powerful (150 watts rms shouldnt shake anything to death) Overall, I have been real happy, havent had any problems, and I think it looks good

thanks for all the nice comments guy

DISTURBthePEACE my amp has to pieces of velcro on the bottom and it stick to the carpet, hasn't moved any in almost a year. I like how the sub sounds, it's a 12" kicker xpl being pushed by a 300 watt rms kenwood amp, and it makes my nose hairs tickle and my throught humm.

Velcro......genius.....only on the bottom of the amp, or on the amp and carpet. Also, are your wires hidden under the carpet? how hard was that to do if it is.

DSLDUDE2001 That makes sense, it looks good.

CD MaroMan 91, I like the sound of it. I used to have RF 10" HE, and the Type-S seems to hit deeper and cleaner. The bass seems to have more "precision" than the RF...

BTW, mine is the dual 4ohm VC version so that I can put a 2 ohm load on the amp and get maximum output...

2 4inch strips of velcro just on the bottom of the amp, the rough stuff, not the fuzzy stuff, my wires aren't hidden because i will one day be attempting the amp in the seat trick, whenever i find some time. imho, hiding the wires wouldn't be hard, make the holes in the carpet and run the wires under it, tada done

Later

haha that's awesome... i used 2 have 2 12" Punch Z's... with a 100.2 fosgate amp... then went to 1 12" RF Punch HE... with the same amp... sounded great... now my friend has that in his camaro... i got the SVC 4-Ohm so I can wire them into 2-Ohm and get 150W each sub
