Sub-Enclosure placement question

Where the hell do i put a sub-enclosure on my car???? BTW, i know this is off the topic, sort of, but i was in this guys truck and he had the subs underneath the seats with massive amps, and he had a DVD player in the dash. This thing made my *** tingle for hours. It was incredibl. Oh well, i thought it was a cool story.

Currently I just have a box sitting on top of the hump right before the hatchwell thing....visibility is slightly reduced, but with the sub pointing towards the hatch, I get great sound (well, great being relative to what I had, at least...)

My enclosure, as is with most others, I imagine, is in the bottom of the rear hatch, shoehorned under the power hatch pull-down motor (is this thing ever jack-proof LOL) Only prob is this makes it VERY difficult to drop in a sub with a deep basket.

The usual setup is putting the enclosure in the top half of the rear hatch, or filling the entire well. I have yet to see a sub box only in the very bottom of the rear well. Got any pics?

Mine is 1.53 cubic feet, only goes as high as the bottom of the hatch pull-down motor. Sorry, no pics. I have neither camera nor scanning equipment.

Talk to me about that box

Over the summer, I went through a similar problem...my box sat in my back seat for a year...kinda pissed off my passengers a bit. But, in July, I finally got the ***** to go out and spend $15 on materials to build my own custom enclosure for my subs. It totally fills the trunk pit up to the upper level where the T-top holder is, and the amp sits underneath it (on 90+ degree days, the amp will heat up and go into thermo protection after maybe ten minutes of heavy usage...but in cooler weather its fine). Yeah, as I saw someone say, it kinda limits the mounting depth of your subs, but I only have 10's in my car, so It isnt a problem..and I'm sure that you could use rings of some sort to boost up subs with large mounting depths. If you want me to draw up a design on the computer to give you an idea, I will...email me at BigAl1472@aol.com..the box took me about three days to build, but I didn't have the proper tools...if I did, I could have done it in one.
