Weirdness with my 92 Camaro
Weirdness with my 92 Camaro
One day I was at a local race spot, listening to some music in my camaro... trying to conserve power, I turn the car off and step out to talk. Not to long after that, we decide to leave and get back into the car and start it up and move out. Well... the cd deck didn't even show any power going to it and did nothing... when I got home, I tried my stock cd player and it didn't do anything. Well, I lit up a cigarette using my cig lighter in the car, which means the fuse to the cd player is good (unless there is another one, which the Chilton's doesn't show/talk about). So I finally got around to fixing an engine problem it had today (about 4 months later) and all of a sudden my stock cd player shows power going to it by lighting up the buttons (which didn't happen before) yet it still won't do anything other then that. All the connections/wires are good and quality... anyone have a clue?
btw, its a 1992 Camaro Z28 w/ the L98 motor and 25th Anniv package... thanks for the help ahead of time.

well... i know the wire is running power right, because i used it to power my amp, which was still working (showing power) to the subs when the stereo wasn't working
the subs/amp are gone now, which was a trade for a new torque converter, but i know the wire is hot

maybe your switched wire isnt working, and it doesnt know that the key is on, you can find out by running a hot wire to the switched wire, if it powers up, then problem solved
