Anyone has/had AIWA step in!

To start of, they have to be the biggest pieces of crap excuse for a headunit ive ever seen. My friend just bought the model cdc-z127 after her old stuff got stolen from her talon. She thought it was cute because it was blue .. . Me and her b/f warned her to stay away but she didnt head our warning.

so, I just put it in and when you turn it up to about 65-69 volume ... the dam thing cuts out, then comes back on, and cuts out again. Max volume is 80. So you gotta be kidding me, it cant handle 1 4ohm speaker on every channel with the bass set at 0 over 3/4 volume?

Does anyone else have this problem or see it as total bs?

oh, and it didnt read 2 outta 5 cds that i put into it. one was brand new and the other was a cd-r. what junk.

I had an Aiwa tape deck about 2 years ago. In all honesty, the thing worked great. I took the cheap upgrade and bought an Aiwa Discman to plug into the tape deck, and that thing didn't skip. I've heard nothing but horror stories about car CD players though. I dunno why... they must have bought some crap *** manufacturer deal with the lasers to save $$$. I've blasted the tape deck unit with no problems, but it was going to a 4-chan amp for the speakers. I suggest writing to Aiwa, they should give you a replacement.

I have the Aiwa CDC-MP3 and have had no problems with it at all. I like it better then their "better" sony decks.

I have the exact same deck with the blue lights and ****. I like it I havent had any problems with it what so ever. It gets more than loud enoght. I trurn it up to like 60 and the bass is so loud with the bass boost it kills. its sweet. I like it. Im probably gonna get a different one though cause it doesnt have any noise suppression.

It's possible that the ground to the headunit isn't strong enough, or the ground wire from the battery to the chassis is weak. Check it out with a multimeter. I'm not sure of the nominal readings, but you don't want any ridiculously high impedences (ohms too high... too much resistance in the wire). That would be my first guess.

As for the reader sucking a$$, just go out and get a decent headunit this time.
