What kind of speakers you guys have in your sail panels. None of my speakers work in my 88 iroc and i want to just get something in there to play some tunes, nothing major. I saw a deal at best buy for a set of 6x9 for 40$ and the 2nd pair of speakers is 1/2 off, so i was gonna get some 4x6's for the front at the same time. but what size is the rear? can i fit a 6x9 in there or is there some other size i should get? And will it pop out of the sail panel, and will i have to mod it a little. Need some help anyone who can is much appreciated. Maybe post some pics to, thanks!

The sail panel location is meant to accept a 6x9 speaker, no modification necessary. You could put just about any size speaker in there, however.

I had a set of pioneer 3 phase 6x9's in the back of my old t/a they bump but its common to hear alot of rattaling because the speaker mounts are mettle on mettle and since they face eachother, you dont get a good range of bass notes, i was planing on buying a pair of 6x9 boxes and putting them faced tward the front behind the rear seats i think its a better way to position them anyway but i guess it depends if you have t-tops or subs in the back

yeah, I moved mine out of the sail panel position to stop them from rattling (I had already tried to seal it up tight),, and to get better sound. The Pioneer 4-ways I have in back now are enclosed, and with a little bit of juice applied to them (100 watts), sound MUCH better than they did in the stock position. i do hope to upgrade to the Infinity Kappas soon myself.
