Inclosed subs in box
Ive got 2 MTX 600 subs.. and i can get the box that
looks like the one everybody has..
But i dont really like the idea od an 'open' box if
thats how u call it.Id like to have my subs or just one inside the box, not on the top. Im working on it now but would just
like to know.. is there enouf air space in the box ?
or am i waisting my time?
I think it would sound better and would get deeper bass.
I guess the only way to find out is to try..
any opinion welcomed
Thx

I want my box to have the sub(s) inside.
As in supposed the box was entirely
made of wood.. you wouldnt see the sub.
Its a little hard to explain.
Ill try to find a pic..

a bandpass box would require a lot more work than just a sealed or ported box, since in a way its actually both. it takes a lot of tuning to get it just right and the box must be made specifically just for that sub. they have a narrower response i believe (dont quote me on that). if done right, can sound really nice. however, most people dont bother. tak a look at most SQ audio competitors; i dont think i've seen any with a bandpass. most stick with a sealed or small ported enclosure.
