CD player cuts out when brake is applied

I have an 84 Trans Am with a cd player that is only about 3-4 years old, nothing to fancy jusy enough to do the job for now. I have a mild amp hooked up to it. now the problem is when I hit the brake pedal the radio says "reset" and basically shuts off, it doesn't loose power but it acts up only when the brake pedal is applied. the real weird thing is that if I am in the driveway it won't act up but if I am driving it will. I have tried to get it to act up in the driveway and it just won't. I hooked the stereo directly to the battery post and the same thing happens. I am lost. I was thinking of just saying hell with it and getting another battery just for the stereo system. anyone else have this problem??

i dunno whats up with that, but if it were me id test for voltage on the yellow and the red wires going to the back of the cd player, both when its working normally and when you push the break pedal. only thing i can think of is that you're somehow losing power to one (or both) of those wires when you hit the brake pedal.. if you ascertain that to be true then you can go from there, and if not.. at least you know whats not wrong
