amp wire on alt?????????
amp wire on alt?????????
I friend of mine has his powerwire attached right to the alternator and not the battey....would that be a bad thing at all? it is only 8ga so he must not be pulling an over bearing amount of power.
This is a really bad idea! Your battery works as a fliter to reduce the A/C ripple created by the alternator. Also this will put more stress on your alternator and cause it to wear out a lot faster, that and its just a bad idea.

Exactly.
That is not a good Idea. The battery is one of your noise shields.
I guess if he has no problems.
But Look at replacing the alt soon, cause It's going to have more strain on it. And will probably die very soon....

not only that the battery kinda acts like a capacitor. You may also get noise through the amp by doing this.
