Atten KJrockz My Adaptation of your Amp Box Thanks for the idea.

Kj sorry this took so long to get up but i neve could get a hol dof a digital camera. this is my Amp box and my sub setup. i get so many oo's and Ahh's for the box so it turned out great. on the inside it has Hot Wirez around it and is wired to the remote wire of the amp, same with the intake fan.

I measured the width of the area up there then i gave lik ea half inch clearence on either side. then i measured how high to the hatch screen and then i measured how tall my amp was then i made a taper from the top of the hatch cover to the top of my amp and i measured from the back of the seats to the point where the hatch starts to dip. i took a few inches off and that was my design for the base. i then got a big *** piece of board to cover it and i drew out the emblem and cut it out. i got a piece of 1/8th inch clear plastic and tinted it with 20% window tint and put hotwires along the inside. i bought a 9 dollar fan from radio shack and mounted behind two 1.5 inch holes i drilled in the front of the box. i didnt spend money on carpet cause that stuff is expensive so i went to a fabric store and got that cool looking "Felt" it matches everything perfect and i thought it looked great.

you should cut two holes (additional one), and make the fan an exhaust. then, the other hole will work as a passive intake, and it will cool your setup nicely.

there is two holes, one is a passive exhaust

i could always reverse the olarity of the current fan. either way tis too cold for it to matter right now.

Sweet Dude.

Looks Really good.

I may need to change my setup soon. I'm not sure right now.
Everyone really like the box I have, but I cant seem to fit everything I want to in there.

Anywayz, the Box looks really good.

We need some night time shots....

im just suggesting that you turn your current fan around, so its an exhaust fan -- you dont really need 2 fans, but exhausting rather than intaking will provide much better circulating and cooling. same equipment, but better.. no reason not to

You know what would be really sweet is having a completely flush setup like that... that would lay completely flat across the entire trunk area (the bowtie amp box and sub box would have no seams and look like one single item and lay completely flat). I think that would be awesome.

I'd do it with a Firebird logo but I don't think I'm that motivated...lol... would rock though.

any idea how hard it would be to make the firebird emblem?? it would be cool to be flush, but i kinda like how my speakers are tilted. this was such an easy project to make. it honestly was. i dont see why you dont give it a try.

in case no one noticed i only have one sub. i cant afford the other infinity yet it was photoshopped. the left one is real

I have had my car for 4 years and not once have I used the trunk for anything. My second is a Dodge mini-van which I use for the kids and the grocery. My trunk is only for my system.

well the sub box i have ther edoes not go all the way down to the floor of the hatch. what you dont see is the two bags of tube sand i have underneath it. to the left of the subs is my cargo space and if you want to get technical i dont drive people around so my entire backseat is my cargo space as well.

edit:

BTW all of you that bitched at me to turn the fan around i did. SO GET OFF MY CASE!!!!

I also use my backseat to put my gym bag in there, no one sits in the backseat ever.
