Question about speakers
Question about speakers
I recently purchased some Kenwood 170w. KFC-6906S 4x6's for the front and Kenwood 60w. KFC-4675C 6x9 for the back. I was wondering if I needed to do some modifications to the car to get the speakers to work.(As In new wiring harness and such) Also how much better would they sound then the factory speakers?
When wiiring up the speakers, take the black plastic connector off the old spearkers, you will have to cut the 2 wire from the conector to the speaker, and pry it off witha flat head screw driver. Than soder that conector peice to your new speaker with 2 mall peices of wire, Than just snap your new speaker into the other end of the conectore peice, Once you take your speakers out you will know exaclty wha I'm talking about.

being that there factory and prolly original from 86, than the new ones should sound 1000 times better. I have an 86 Iroc and when i changed over my speakers back in 94 i noticed a major difference. This was way before i got any type of system too. I still had the original Delco tape deck w/ eq back then.
