I've got a 7" 16:9 screen that I'm going to be putting into my dash soon. I've got the dash in the living room, and now I just need to work up the motivation to get started.

I've also got a 6" 4:3 and a 10" 4:3 that may or may not get put into the other car.

That is nutty. I havent seen that pic of your before. Did you really do that? Did the visors stay up ok or did you have to keep them up somehow. I was thinking of putting one in the "glove box" and having the pouch fold up and down to keep it covered.

dewd i love your setup.. i was thinking about putting the tv monitor right above where you put yours but my idea was to put it ontop of the ac controls where that wasted space is.. it'd keep the tv outta the sunlight i'm figureing.. and was gonna put a tv in each chair for the back seats.. i have 2 kids... so that would be the reasoning behind that.. and i love your blue accenting.. that's awesome..

That's where mine is going. I didn't opt for an in-dash setup because there was no unit of suitable quality in an affordable range that also had a conventional display when closed. I chose a separate TV and separate DVD player. I'm going to modify a spare console that will look stock, but extend above the HVAC controls to hold the TV. It should look pretty good when it's finished.

thanks for the ideas. im thinking about putting one there where you said the wasted space is about the ac controls. anyone know where to get the best price on a screen for that area? or is it better just to invest in a flipup reciever? also kind of beside the point anyone know any good gps systems that go in pretty easy. that could become useful i think, i do alot of traveling

Nah. I haven't really done much of anything. I've basically got my plan down, so now I just need to actually get started.

yeah. Once I actually get motivated to do some work I'll have pics. I might empty out my spare bedroom (*** knows where I'm going to put the stuff) so I can work on it in there.
