look in your phone book, there should be something like car audio in it, and check a few places out, they should be able to check spl, they might charge a small price tho.

Frequence will be a little harder tho cause that is affected by alot of stuff, like where your boxes sweet spot is and your cars(which is a bigger box) sweet spot. I am getting close to finding mine, around 46-54 htz, yours could be totally different.

How do you go about finding your frequence? And what is frequence?

the Frequency is the degree at which the soundwaves travel. it is measured in Hz. for example really low bass travels at a really low frequency(9hz) and tweeters have very high frequencies. my old physics teacher, who happens to be my best friends mom (he owns an 87 firebird by the way), has a frequency thing that measures it, but i cant paly with it, she wont let me!

Go there and look for the event listings and find one in your area. Go to the event and do a 'fun run' with your car. It costs I think $20 if I remember correctly. They give you the CD to use, ask them which track is the sweep track. It will sweep a band of freq. from say 30-80Hz or so. You won't be able to find the freq of max dB doing this, but you will find out how loud it can get. Finding the freq where cabin gain the largest will require some more time. If the lanes aren't busy and they will let you run different tracks you can find the freq that will give the max sound level.

Just don't fry your sub like I did when you do this. hehe
