Amp problem
Ok, so my alpine 6ch amp (old) got wet on the bottom and the bass channel has stopped working. I have another amp (linear power) that I want to use for the bass now. Can I simply splice off of the power (and other wires) that go to the existing amp as long as there is a fuseable link? This is only temp while I build the "big system".
Thanks everyone!

So while I am waiting to see what is said about this, I hooked it up anyways. Works but now of course the hi's and mid's are coming through the bass. The alpine had a xover built in... What is the cheapest way to get rid of the hi's and mid's? In the old days (lol) I would just put in a big *** resistor and that was it. Is that still acceptable? What size? THanks
you use an inductor to filter out frequencies above a certain number. the value of the inductor is dependent on the impedance of your setup.. theres tons of tables on the internet that give you the right values, run a google search and you'll find one real quick
