Help with 6x9's

I have some 6x9's to put in my camaro, but i pulled off the cover and there are 5-1/4's in there. so i was wondering if there is a place i can print out a template for a hole to cut in the panel for the 6x9's. I tried making one myself by cutting a hole in paper, trimming little by little, but i keep screwing it up. Thanks.

Most packing boxes that speakers are shipped in have a template on them somewhere. It is usually has the hole on it. I hope that this helps.

what speakers are 5.25? The fronts are a 4x6 and the rear are a stock 6x9 in the sail panels. If some one put a 5.25 in there then the either buit a plate or screwed it in a 6x9 hole. You shouldnt have to cut anything for a 6x9.

Is it a convertable? I know they have different rear speaker sizes (they'd have to). I've also heard of people fitting different size speakers than what are stock, also. Hope that helps

when the car came from the factory, it had no speakers. so when the previous owner owned the car, he cut holes for a 5.25. i bought 6x9's (used) from a friend. he didnt have the template. I took the 5.25's that were in the back and modified my front speaker mount to hold them. great sound, wish i woulda done this along time ago. i got the 6x9's to fit. i put a piece of wire around the mounting surface and it held its shape so that i could trace it onto paper. thanks for the input.
