Ijust picked up a 12" Fostgate sub and now I need tofind out where to put it.I was thinking of the spare tire well. How wellwill it perform in there? is this the best location? I do not have Ttopsbut would really like to keep my hatch area open for those grossery runs.Also if you have a sub mounted there post a pic of it for me please.

 

i don't think it would be a good idea to mount a sub in there. would probably get a lot of rattles from outside of car. great place to mount an amp though. that is where i put mine-nice and hidden.

 

No matter where you put a sub in a thirdgen you are going to get things that rattle. Here is my setup. Not the best but it will hold me over till the wife gets a car and I can put 2 12s in the hatch.


Just make sure that you have a grill on the speaker or something keeping the box back. You dont want to hear your sub buzzing on the plastic.
