new deck problem with headlights

new deck problem with headlights

i just got a kenwood kdc519 deck and now when its on the lights like dim alot and then do a strobing affect or just go off

The deck should never cause your lights to dim. If you have more than a 10 amp draw, you'll blow the factory fuse. I suspect that your charging system has some serious problems, or you have a problem with your wiring. Did you ground your deck to the brown wire or to the black one? If you ground it to the brown wire that's in the separate plug with the orange wire, you'll have big problems when you put your lights on.
