Replacing Sony head unit with Alpine....new wiring harness & dash kit or compatable?

I have crappy Xplod CD player and I'm replacing it with the Alpine in the pic below. Will I be needing to pick up a new wiring harness or dash kit, or will the one that was in there line up with the new Alpine?

You can reuse the installation kit from the sony. What you will have to do is cut off the harness that attaches to the factory harnesses from the sony one. O.k., that's a little confusing. When you pull out the old HU you will have a harness that plugs into the back of it. It will then be crimped or soldered to another harness. Then you have the harness for the factory radio that plugs into that. You're after the second one. Cut off the crimp connectors or desolder it depending on how it was previously installed. Then attached your alpine harness to the one you removed. Send the sony HU and harness to the marines so they can throw it at Saddam Hussien when they find him. Then reconnect the harness to the factory wiring. Then connect it to your head unit. The dash adapter can be reused as well. You will want to bend the tabs on the metal bracket holding the HU back in. Then slide it all out. Install the alpine bracket and then the new HU. Plug it in and enjoy.
