CD Player plays... but with no sound... ???
Hey I just put a Panasonic CQ-DF583U mp3 player in my car... it worked fine for the past 2 weeks... but then 2day on my way 2 soccer tryouts in the middle of a song it just cut off... i figured it skipped or somethin but i was on a smooth road... then it just never came back on... i took the cd out and put it back in and still no sound... even switched cd's... turned volume full blast... nothing... i figured maybe a speaker wire came loose but... all 4 speakers at the same time?? could this be a problem with the internal amp? i'm thinkin about just takin it back cuz it hasn't been 30 days yet... plus i have the 2 year warranty so ya know... what ya think??

Does the radio work? If it does then take it back and get it replaced. If the radio doesn't work then it could be a wiring issue. Some head units have a seperate connector for the speakers, if your HU is so equipped it could have come loose. Also a single speaker wire grounding out can trip a unit's internal protection that prevents it from burning up. If everything works except there is no sound I would think it's one of those two. If you had it installed at the place where you bought it have them look at it since it's more than likely an installation issue.
well today i get back in the car and i turn my car on and i was like what tha? it worked again... i read in the book that if the display worked and the cd was playing but no sound... then it might have condensation... and i had the windows down so maybe that was it... i'll wait and see if it does it again

i had the exact same problem with my kenwood, i guess its a commong problem with internal amp decks, take a look at one of my latest posts, tells you all about it, i sent mine back in and they are fixing it as we speak or they will send me a new one.
i think it's my speakers/wiring... i know the left front one hasn't worked since i got it... and the back left one is blown... and when my g/f shut my car door last nite kinda hard the sound cut out again... so i think it's the wiring... so sometime this week i gotta figure out how to take my door panels off and then check all the wiring

door panels? i dont have speakers in my doors, do you? if i was you i would just buy a set of good aftermarket speakers (check ebay, they have good cheap ones) and just put in some new speakers. but before you get too far with your speakers i would hook them up to an ohm meter after the head unit just to make sure its your speakers and not the deck. good luck
yeah i have speakers in my doors... i have a different car now than i did 2 months ago... shhhh... but i already planned out my system... i'm gettin a planet audio x-factor component set up front and planet audio x-factor coaxials in the back... the comp set will be running off a rem2200 planet audio amp *100W x 2* and then i'll have a 12" planet audio zetar sub running off another rem2200 amp *400W x 1 bridged* i'm just trying to make this last til i get my speakers bought lol
